im trying to figure out what drip nossles to use, im looking at a one that goes around the plant. like a "O" with a barbed T connect to it, looks like somthin i can make but i tried n i think i might need a small drill, the water doesnt really flow out, its more like a pressurized stream of water. what would you use? im thinking the drip would be easier, tho its the only one i know how it works 100%. not sure how the other hydros work.......yet 8). ima go read some more..

you can buy a conversion bulb for Metal Halide if you want to maximize veg time. You could run the HPS during veg too, but the extra blue light in the MH's spectrum is closer to the plant's liking for veg. HID's get hot, so watch your temps. You want things around 80.
HPS throughout the whole grow is better. MH is all hype. You get more lumens per watt with HPS than MH.

Plants use red spectrum most for photosynthesis. Metal Halides (MH) are not beneficial over a HPS.

I used to be a firm believer of MH for veg and HPS for flowering but have accepted that I was wrong. I know some of the best growers in California and they all use HPS from start to finish.

You have your preference and that's cool(not looking to debate here), but I never said you couldn't complete an entire grow with HPS.
