Hidden Doors, Hidden Rooms, Hidden Gardens

so i created an 8x8 room (electro magnetically locked) that is somewhat hidden. later this year the room and it's room of entry ahead of it will be locked and hidden.

this video shows briefly what i have so far. and yes i understand the door is not hidden yet, but it will be.

in the 8x8 room, i am currently vegging and cloning. i also have a 4x4 tent in there. this is one of my flower tents. the goal for this room sometime after my next harvest, will to become a dedicated sealed flowering room. it has it's own A/C.

the room of entry before the 8x8 room is 5'x8'. in this room i will create a wall of cabinets that will conceal moms, veg plants, clones and seedlings. the entry into the 5x8 room will be a sliding bookcase that is also electro magnetically locked.

now, i understand if the police ever happen to be in my grow building this will be found. the goal here is not to fool the police, but to allow me to have guests into the other parts of the building without them noticing hidden space or hidden doors.

this will be a slow build thread. probably finishing off in the summer is my best guess.

this is something id like to do eventually. im in the process of buying a house with the potential for a 20ish x13 basement space i intend on finishing. ive been looking at murphy doors with an electromagnetic entrance with a key fob. nice start, cant wait to see finished product:clap:

I painted a rich dudes house back in the day and he had a hidden computer room where the book case was the actual door. I think the mechanism was spring and bearing.

As in the ball bearing pushed the spring down when you put pressure on the case, then the spring licked the bearing back into place and held the case in the closed position.

Here is a pic of something similar

If you imagine that recessed in the floor under the book case/door

Too bad your door dosen't swing other way. Buddy of mine has bookcase mounted to door to hide edges, but his swings out so the bookcase can overlap the door. I like your sliding shelf idea tho, you can get extending drawer slides so everything will be hidden under the bookcase or shelf, no tracks visible on either side of door.

The hinged door will be trimmed out to hide it better. Also may stack some boxes in front of it or hang some old coats in front of it.

32” drawer slides are already on my shopping list for the bookcase.

If I wasn’t building a wardrobe cabinet, for vegging, beside the hinged door, I could have put a sliding bookcase in front of it also.

In fact now you have me consider some kind of movable/hinged shelves in front of the hinged door.
