LOL

White as a lilly.

I think that the white liberal Sandernistas are too accepting of structural racism for my liking. Bernie's ignoring Black Lives Matter for instance. Or his stated belief that after 8 years of Obama, "people are tired of political correct rhetoric". Your buddies seem to think that better wages will make death by cop more acceptable for black people. The 1% use sexism and racial issues to divide the common people and so we aren't going to throw their yoke until everybody has freedom to move safely about and pursue their lives free of the white man's disease of racism. ditto the male disease of sexism.
LOL! I thought you were a gentleman of color too. Honkey. JK!

Harris is shrill? Shrill? Are you saying that people who point out the double standard used to to try to suppress Harris from skewering witnesses during Congressional hearings are being soft on her? I'm saying the double standard applied to women in politics is misogyny. Same happened to that nasty woman Clinton. I find behavior like that offensive and wrong. Don't you? Doesn't everybody deserve to be judged by what they do and not according to archaic social norms that have nothing to do with performance on the job?

Uck. Money in politics. Why don't we just pass an amendment to repeal Citizen's United? Meanwhile, has she done anything illegal or indefensible? Republicans hate her. She has 25 year's experience as a prosecutor and seems to be enjoying the role of senator, without being restrained by all the conflicting complexities of dealing with judicial processes. Now, she is free to dice and slice people like Flynn and Sessions without worrying about judicial processes. Doing a good job too.

Mnuchin. Yes, Mnuchin is still free and doing the dirty work for the 1%. A real Sandernista would have, I suppose ground all other activities in the AG's department to a halt in the hope of winning a just verdict in one case. If they lost, the Sandernista would be comforted by their eternal self justified rage. You don't accept Kamala Harris's explanation. OK. She settled, brought in $25 B in reparations, which left her department resources to to much more than jail one person, maybe. In your opinion she did wrong. That's your opinion.
Hillary was shrill. Kamala Harris does not seem to be. Hillary was as phony as $3 bill. Kamala Harris does not seem to be.

I don't see any correlation between the two. My opinions on Harris may fly in the face of my fellow Bernie Bros, but I like what I see from her so far. I don't know that I will ultimately end up voting for her, but she is on my short list as of this moment. I could at least see myself voting for her. I could never say the same about Hillary. Two completely different people that have nothing in common aside from their genitalia.

Harris has passed far more progressive legislation than Sanders has in his whole career.

It's on the State level but it's called "taking care of business".

Green?

Let's cut the bullshit, it's her melanin levels and "black like" name that bothers you.
Harris is more progressive than Sanders?

We don't like her because of her 'black sounding name'?!

Stupid shit like this is why we don't take you seriously or put any stock whatsoever your opinion.

Bernie ignored BLM?

Do ya happen to remember the time Bernie let them take the stage and the mic and say what they wanted for as long as they wanted?

Or somehow that doesn't count in your crazy world?

She carries too much establishment Democrat water for my taste, plain and simple.

I said your racist anti-semetic token-woman doesn't like people with black sounding names.

Not everything is about you, Mr Retardio.

and which groups stayed home?..REJECTED HILLARY CLINTON?..and which groups did the same in 2008?

the huuuuuuuuuuge opportunity to prove once and for all whether Hillary was indeed anointed..

if Hillary were $100 bills..you couldn't have given her away..nearing dem primary Sanders garnered tens of thousands of supporters coming to see him, while Hillary was hotel lobby/school gymnasium.

one thing is for certain as sure as 2020 will be upon us..try, just try to shove her down our throats again and see what happens.

check this, men..here bernie is a mean sexist who stole all her ideas..how mean he was to her during debates..he's dogged her all her life..she'd be president if it weren't for Bernie..it's a sickness..she is mentally ill like trump, just in a different way..the fact she can't let this go is insane and the fact that she's re-writing history..?
She's just one Democrat that has paid her dues to the cause. We could have worked through her. It would have been so much better for us than Trump.

We will never know.

The opportunity the Chump has given the left must not be squandered; now that the entire planet knows what a raging lunacy the Right really is in America, we can use their bad example to put forth a truly better candidate.

Clinton wouldn't have been 'better', merely 'not as bad'. A subtle but important distinction.

I like the first paragraph, I see value in that perspective. But I disagree with the second; Clinton by definition would have been better. Trump has sunk to lows I couldn't even imagine being possible pre-2015. Clinton is just the Old Guard of progressivism IMO. She has walked that line of compromise for so long it's all she knows. That's a strength in many ways, too. Look who we are dealing with!

You completely got it wrong. Bernie didn't "let" those women from the Black Lives Matter movement speak, they went up to the stage and forced the issue. Bernie backed away as if they were the plague. They had not been invited and nobody from that movement ever was invited to speak at his rallies.

This does count in my world. Bernie was fucking uncomfortable and he never tried to make amends. Not even after two occasions when BLM activists forced the issue.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/aug/11/bernie-sanders-black-lives-matter-squirm

On Saturday, Black Lives Matter organizers Marissa Johnson and Mara Willaford got on stage and took the microphone away from from presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders to remind him that the Black Lives Matter movement is the grassroots movement of the 2016 race. As a black woman, a part of me felt like I should have stood up and cheered when I watched the video, but I also felt downright uncomfortable. I cringed at the sight of women who look like me storming a stage and making themselves heard. I couldn’t put my finger on why.

Clinton would have been more of the status quo, the one we were told for 8 years was 'hope and change' and 'good enough'. Not as bad as batshit crazy right wing authoritarian wannabe, but not really better, either.

Better would imply a step in the right direction. The reason she wasn't elected is because not enough people felt she would be better.

It's a subtle but important distinction.

In your use of the term, a pet rock would have been a better choice than the Chump! And I'm not disagreeing with you.

The fact that America elected the Chump tells me that maybe he had to happen so that people would wake up. That wouldn't have happened under a Clinton Mk II presidency.

This is why I think the Chump presents a powerful and unique opportunity to the Progressive Left, one we must not squander if we're to make real progress for the other 90%.
