Hey dudes and dudettes.

I recently bought two 600w qb kits from HLG it took a bit to ship but then when they were it was three days from shipping which to the great white north is pretty good. So the plan is to replace two 1000w de lights with two 600 w kits . I want to also add that between them because my area is 16 ft long I will be putting som older xgs 190s between them and my cob unit. Hopefully I'll be pulling the same weight with higher quality while using much less power. Was skeptical of the qbs but once I had em wired up and put em on holy Jesus their bright. Impressed to say the least. If I can pull two units per light 6 units per run I will be on the lower end of what I pull with two de thouies and my 600w cob unit. But hoping for 8 tbh. Here are some pics after assembly. Wish the heat sinks were more square to cover a 5x5 but I'm sure maybe in the future they will be looking at that. I have zero invested in the company but liked their kits and it came with everything I needed and that makes it super easy. I am an electrician by trade so maybe a little easier for me then most but I put together both lights in two hours from opening. Super simple. I don't always have time but will try to update as I do have time. Going to run 9 plants in rols 3gals under one light and 5 plants in 2 gals coco under the other So a little mix going on. Strains are bagpipe which is a cross of purple kush and stardawg and my cut of Tahoe og. Both I have pulled 2.5 units under a de so I know what they both do.

What price was the 600 watt QB kit?
The QB 's are great, I've 1 x 135w, 1 x 550 and another in the post.
I would definitely recommend any of Horticultural Lighting Groups products

I think I paid 650 us for the kit. I would buy more in a second tbh. Pulling down over time as I've been busy I honestly forgot I even started this but I'll snap some bud pics as they come down

But seems to be my best run in summer ever. Just thanks to using literally half the power of the de it replaced. Recently travelled and had to delete pics but lights are off for harvest and I'll snap some shots before I start cutting them

Just an FYI the heatsinks with these kits do get hot I might add some fans to help cool it. So hot I can't lift it to help ratchet hangers when on. Their also fairly heavy but need to be to cool all that light

Here's a quick pic of my GDP clone under the qbs pulled 2.7 lbs under the 600 with some additional light from the xgs190 but very happy with it dense and terpenoids off the hook. She purpled up real nice too. And the green nug is Irene apricot og x gamechanger which is firrrreeeee
