Well think I would do it like they do on the Aerogarden gizmo. Buy some cheap tight weave artificial sponges and cut them to fit the bottom of the net pots then split em. Glue your seeds to one half of the sponge with Elmers School Glue and let it dry. Reassemble with the other half of the sponge and place it in the bottom of the pots. Cut and glue little thin waterproof cardboard circles with about a 1/2 inch hole in it right above where the seed(s) are. Playing cards should work. Cover real loosely with Saran Wrap then do your DWC thing however your gonna do it. I like the idear of using a good airpump and several air strips. They got some a foot long at WW for about 4 bucks ya know? The double humper airpump is about 13 bucks. I forget that submergible water pump..drip tubes..misters..sprinklers..manifolds..automized douche bags etc. Put it under some moderately bright cfls. When some green starts popping outta the hole lose the Saran Wrap. Make sure your ph'd water is at least splashing the sponge. Start it on some real weak nutes once it forms some leaves. When the canopy gets large enough to shade the roots you can get rid of the cardboard root light blockers. Start increasing the lights as the plants get mo bigga. That should work. Hope this helps.
