Horrible Dry

So I harvested my first grow (outdoor) and started to dry my beautiful succulent buds. I hung them from a beam in my garage which is relatively warm, decently humid, and considerably dim. A day later the buds were not yet dry to the touch, but have turned so dark they're almost brown. Where did I fuck up? How do I keep the color in the buds for my next grow? Thanks all.

My only experience with buds darkening up like that is when my RH in some jars was too high and i got bud mold. The buds were originally light green and the buds around the moldy spots was dark and gross.

Too much heat and humidity equals mold. I live in a very humid climate so I use hanging net drying racks and run a dehumidifier. It's a lifesaver.

I haven't seen any mold, thankfully. They're just brownish.
