Left last Thursday because of hurricane Harvey still can't get home been gone a week went to Colorado for a few days then drove To Arkansas to stay with fam flooding is causing me and my fam to not be able to return home we're hoping the rising water does not destroy are home and property pray for brazoria county

Thought are with you buddy! Don't wish that on anyone. Stay safe, just remember, it's mostly stuff. Most can be replaced over time. Hopefully pets and heirlooms stay safe.

True that my fam is safe so we're happy it's Going to take a long time to clean up the destruction of this hurricane hopefully we can return home soon

Sorry to hear, man. I hope your home is high and dry. Since this is the third major flood in three years to hit the Houston metro, what are your longer term plans? Are you going to stay? Up stakes and move? Will the condition of your home be a deciding factor?

Serious questions, brother. I've been in hurricanes and floods, though none as bad as what's unfolding there now. These were all questions I also considered and ultimately I decided to return to Colorado, where I had family- and where floods have the good graces to go away after a few hours!

Well i always seem to return to the area because my fam lives there and I was born and raised there but honestly I'd love to abandon that ship for higher ground tired of running but I guess there is natrual desasters anywhere you go

I'll take blizzards over hurricanes anytime. Gives a body a chance to relax and enjoy a slower pace of life for a day or two.
