ok i got a few plants growing in clear plastic containers and the plants are spreading out to the point of exploding out. can I make a plant thats only a foot tall (possibly shorter) flower by cutting back on the light that it recieves in one day even though its this small? or when will I know that it will be okay to do that?

How long has it been vegging for? cause it doesnt take long.. i start flowering mine after 2 weeks of vegging (unless root system isnt ready), but if you are growing one big plant, definetly start to flower it on 12/12 as Toke mentionned

i use HPS (Blue Spectrum) the entire time, only different cycles.

its a 400W, but before the 2 weeks, i keep the light high so they get used to the intensity, because i have them in a sealed cabinet, no light comes out and the reflection rate is high.

I gradually lower it after a week, then max, and after 2 weeks of vegging i started flowering them
