How can I grow more than 6 plants when I'm the only one I live with with a medical marijuana card?

I want to grow in my backyard and my uncle grew a little in his college days so he said he would pitch in if he could stick a few plants in my grow space. But he doesn't live with me, so do I have to register as a collective or something like that or anything like that? Or if it ever becomes an issue can he just show up and say how he helped pay for the setup and whatnot?

I believe that this will help, because your 6-plant limit is incorrect. If you are basing that idea on the guideline established by SB420 in 2003, which was 6 mature plants or 12 immature plants, then that is where you are making a mistake.

That plant limit was struck down as unconstitutional by the CA Supreme Court in 2009. They said that plant limits were not in the law that the people voted on, so a patient can grow as many plants as you need, "within a reasonable amount."

Im confused about county regulations that are posted on calnorml.

I can understand that some counties don't want outdoor gardens but when cities/counties say that you can have 9/12 and others say 6/12, ect. Should you follow those guidelines?

For sure. My wife and I get by just fine with our 6/12 each between the two of us. Never stop learning though!
