How do I "like" somebody's comment?

I've been wondering the same thing, I googled the question and was brought to this forum lol. I am a new member too so I've been considering yalls theory. Another idea I came up with is maybe it makes a difference viewing the site on a phone vs desktop, I'm viewing it on my phone and never see the like button.
Exactly the same as me... So it seems to be a new member thing? No one ever really said... I feel like I did have a like link when I first joined, then it disappeared... but maybe I am imagining it... I have only been a member for a few days, posted a few replies and started one new thread, got some likes... so I am assuming it's a matter of time... or posts or something...

Leads me to:

Becoming and established Member

Established members are members that have a few extra perks because they contributed something useful to this site. It's actually not hard to become an established member, but it does require some minimal effort... Specifically, you become an..

You do not have permission to view the full content of this resource

So no help at all.

Two different answers so far... whooo! I will try to pay attention to when it happens for me and see if I can tell what's what... I imagine Airwalker is correct here, as who is judging what are "well-earned likes" or what counts as being active?... It is an automated system after all ;-). Though if you (Olive Drab) mean active as in how long you're a member (regardless of activity) that could be right too, but harder to know, since I am "active" (posting).

Otherwise, you could be a narc
That's hilarious man, thanks :)

NOTE: current status: I joined Friday, so I am either on my third day, or second (not sure when they count from, dates or actual time joined). I have posted 29 times (one thread I started, all other replies), have 8 likes and 3 points.

BOOM! there it is.

30 posts, 10 likes, 13 points. I was awarded "Welcome to RIU" and "Keeps coming back."
After reading the trophies section it is made clear:

Welcome To Rollitup
You have been a member for at least 48 hours and three different users have liked something you wrote. You can now do a lot more things on the site.

So it's 48 hrs from joining AND at least 3 people "liking" something you posted.

And only two years to answer.

This thread is hilarious. I googled this question twice, getting multiple answers. Kinda hard to get a straight answer lol

Still, I don’t see how throwing a like on a comment is any indication of narcs trying to bust people trying to grow quality herb and get down with some bettter know how.
I grow legal now anyways, suck it narcs
