OK I have read alot tried a few and now want to know, how do you make your dank smell sooo yummy! All working metods wanted, tell me your step by step curing method!

Mines fairly simple. I do all my trim work wet, I hang them in a closet to dry ( dry time here is quick since im in a toasty climate) so bout 3-4 days. I jar em, let them sit over nite then spread them onto a screen the next day (air em for a few hours) rejar and burp for a few days after, seal them and store them for atleast 2 weeks (really depends when they are needed) i would prefer longer if possible.

I put my budd in a massive 500 gallon glass aquarium and seal it. then 2 times a day i burp the sealed lid. ... my grow usually consists of 20-30 lbs of budd. i cure them for atleast a month.

...LOL i wish

...But for real Im pretty sure everyone dries for 4-7 days then seals them in mason jars (or glass lid jars from ikea/walmart) for 1-3 months for flavor. ...nothing to it

I dont want to sound like a noob either but oh well....

So its normal for your weed to not taste or smell like weed right after a chop? Is that exactly what curing does?

i have recently tried cutting branches from the main stem, manicuring wet, and then laying them on a screen to dry for 5-6 days, jarred, then burped 3 times a day for about a minute each for a week. smell never became good, and stayed grassy/nothing.

then i hung a hole plant after manicuring wet, let dry for 6 days, trimmed up and jarred. burped about 5 minutes 3 times a day for a week, and it smelled pretty good. should have cured longer.

currently, hanging hole plants, not trimming so the leaves preserve the trichomes,(you break trichomes while your trimming if the trich's arent dry and hard yet.) and then after drying for 7 days, trim up, weigh up, jar, and burp about 5 minutes 2-3 times a day(depends on remembering to burp them) for about a week-2 weeks, depending on when needed.

jw, but do you guys consider pulling a nug out of the jar burping?

I think you should take out the budd from the jars from time to time as well.... And let them air out... I could be wrong but i remember reading/viewing this somewhere

I find that since it dries so fast here that once I jar it for a day it gains all the moisture back so i have to pull it all out and screen dry for a day after.

Mizzychewy the longer you cure the better the smell and taste I know some people jar it for a couple months if they can. :)

I'm new to this but found this to work quite well. I start real early with just a two or three day dry and then procede to jar for 3 hours, screen dry 3 hours, repeat until uniformly dry (usually a few days). I then jar and start a once a day short burp for about a week. I've noticed that this process gives a much better taste/aroma in a shorter period of time. For a smoother smoke its def best to jar and not touch for at least another week if not two.

What makes a good air tight glass curing container for curing large amounts of bud?
I just use gallon glass jars I can fit 4-6 ounces them they work great for me but as I break into them I transfer them to smaller jars so I dont have a bunch of air and a couple ounces of weed in a gallon jar. I think you can get a case of 4 for about 25$ and I pretty much do the same thing as caligurl as far as curing goes.
