How does my plan for first time growing look?

Ok, so this is my first time growing (obviously) and I just wanted to put my "plan" out there to see if there were any major flaws with it.

So first some important things.

I am growing OUTDOORS at an off site location in the woods. I have located the site and prepared the soil adequately according to this forum and some advice from others. It is moist and at the suggested PH level. I am starting with 3 plants. I ordered Holland's Hope seeds to plant at my location.

I have the seeds and plan on germinating them by using half a glass of mineral water and soaking them in a dark consistent temp place for 24 hours and then planting them.

I am planning on getting some generic potting soil from a local nursery and spreading it around the site and then planting the seeds about a half inch deep. I have little flags to remember where they are.

I have a few buckets that I plan on sitting in nearby place to pick up rain water. This is as far as my planning has gone since I do not really know what else I can plan for until the plants start growing.

I just wanetd to know if there were any easier ways to start off or better routes to take and what I can expect when it comes to maintaining and taking care of these plants.

:leaf:Thanks guys!:leaf:

You should try to start the plants indoors if possible. You'll get a better survival rate I guarantee it. Just pick up some CFL's and use that for the first 2-3 weeks until the plants have a good stalk. Then transplant to your outdoor location.

Could I throw something in here? of coarse I can this is what its for...lol

I have had 4 successful grows 2indoors and 2outdoors. These arent my only grows, what I trying to say is usually when people just start (LIKE MYSELF) they over plan things and complicate it. A MJ plant will grow to maturity if it was just given decent soil and water. I would start there and be patient and learn as you go. The worste mistake is to plan a BIG grow and expect great things, this is where the dissapointment of failure is devestating. I heard someone say "Your making this harder than it actually is." I think it was Peter Griffen. lol

EDIT: And as for the starting inside, that was something I learned +rep for that one. I would suggest starting indoors, start EARLY and get them things at least a foot tall before putting outside. And another mistake I made was just this, they started flowering.
