How long are seeds good for?

how long are seeds good for cause i just put down some that are really good seeds but 7 yrs old?

IDK officially, but I grew some seeds last time that could have been that old or older. I have been a head for 20 yrs... I have always saved the seeds out of any weed I smoke, I have never had a prob getting them to germ... Now, I just grew successfully this spring, but that has had more to do with conditions than seeds... If the germ, plant them, see what happens!!!!

All depends on how they are stored. Scientists store seeds that they think will be good for 100s of years by supercooling, etc

But I have no idea, as a lay person, seven years sounds like a long time to expect much from them.

they should be k if you stored them in freezer i think seeds last years if handled right
