How long does it take for the plant to absorb nutrients?

I have a plant a few weeks into flowering that has been giving me some trouble. I thought I had pH issues, but after reading some stuff that said how good soil is at buffering ph, I'm pretty sure that's not the case.
I'm guessing that I was just underfeeding or improperly feeding my plant. It has had yellowing leaves, with more of the leaves near the top turning yellow, but the ones towards the bottom that turn are a stronger yellow. The veins of the leaves seem to be staying more green.
From what I've read this sounds like signs of various nute deficiencies (nitrogen, iron, possibly zinc). So I gave it a good full strength feeding yesterday, which I hadn't done for a little while because I was so worried about pH.

So I'm wondering how long will it take for me to start seeing improvement? I don't want to start messing with my plant before it has had time to take affect, but since my leaves seem a little more yellow than yesterday I don't want to wait any longer than I have to.

Thanks guys, I'm glad to get this figured out. pH problems seem to be way overdiagnosed; my plant would be far healthier if I hadn't starved it trying to compensate for slightly basic water.

Now I have to wait in hopes of seeing improvement. Patience is a virtue but it sure is agonizing. Do you recommend I feed it again next time I water or should I wait a bit? I'm thinking nute burn won't be too huge a problem since it was underfed for a while.

You probably won't experience nute burn, just keep your feedings
and waterings consistent.. And yes, as for diagnosis, many people
just lookin to gain "rep" will say anything is pH related. And usually
it will mess up even more what you're trying to do. Just like in this case.

I'll second this. I find a slightly basic pH actually helps with N absorption, but a slight pH shift in the right range between feedings is what my girls like best.

Idk if you'd want your soil to be Alkaline....

Acidic soils are more preferrential, between 6.6-7.0

Sorry, my mistake, stoned when I posted last. I meant more on the alkaline side of the ideal range. Although, I have seen girls go through veg just fine in the sun with 7+ pH as well.

my plants are looking the same color.. "lime green with yellow leaves here and there" I just watered with .....ALASKA FISH EMULSION 5-1-1 ....ALASKA MORE BLOOM 0-10-10....and Brer Rabbit Non Sulphured Molasses...Im hoping my plant turns green again or atleast uses what i gave it so that it can finish. Its at about 9 weeks into bloom right now

I have same issue, im in Australia and bought seeds from netherlands. My lsd are turning yellow with purple spots. I need help as ak and bubblegum doing great. I am outdoor.
