How long until considered "Flowering"

Hey there RIU!

So I am thinking of running a perpetual harvest with some autos and I want to remain all within my state laws. We can have no more than 12 plants all of which a max of 6 "mature" or flowering plants in our home in Alaska so I want to know when you all think an auto is considered "mature" as I cannot find anything as to an exact definition in the regulation. Is it right when pistils/sacs show? How many weeks approx for your average auto till this happens? Basically If I have more than 6 plants in the rotation I don't want more than 6 to be considered "mature" or flowering. I have never grown an auto before so please bear with me :D

:peace:

i think you're asking the wrong people, the opinion that matters in this case is the local authorities. ask them what they consider to be a "mature" plant. start your plants a month apart to begin with and see how they mature. and realize that while most autos flower a lot quicker than photos, there a lot of variation, depending on the genetic stock, plants bred from slower maturers will still be slow, compared to plants bred from quick maturing parents

Yeah I plan on growing one strain so it should be consistent I just wonder when an auto is considered mature as you said every strain is different I can only assume they have some baseline they go off of...something to ask the control board about

I'm in the same boat Jubilant- same restrictions in new Ma. law-Gonna use 2 setups (2 by 4) with 4 white Widow autos- and a 4 by 8 tent with 8 photo period- auto should start flowering in 3-4 weeks and finish 2 1/2 - 3 months( although will vary) figure starting photoperiod around 1 1/2 months after autos and vegging aprox 3 months - hopefully autos will be ready by the time I flip photos, then start another auto and/or photo in small setup. Timing will tell.. .
