Currently on week 7, we called for an update and its still processing.

Ive hear anywheres from 2 to 4 months, anyone have input on this?

Also a hydrostore guy told me after 6 weeks you can start to grow and they wont do much about it because some court case in bc got thrown out because the patient was trying to get access to their medicine.

Also does calling health canada get you anywhere? I just seem to get the runaround

There are no pre approval site inspections - that's an LP requirement.

There's also nothing written saying you can start growing anytime before you receive your license.

I and many others here believe that no legitimate patient would be found guilty for production while they are doing the Health Canada limbo. To my knowledge there's no case law yet to support this.

I just called and got through right away.
They said its been accepted and looked at and everything on it is complete and good. And its with an officer being looked at. And no expected wait time.

Maybe good news or maybe their new shpeal to tell people to keep them happy.

Won't apply to current waits because mine was sent in last year but 13 weeks. You will be waiting longer currently as more and more people try to get away from the LP's and HC seems to be taking as long as humanly possible to complete the process for people. For me "an officer is processing your papers" was 9 weeks of the process; and my script is small, my doctor was easy to contact, and I have no criminal record.

Like everyone else has been saying, just pop beans and grow if your health can't wait. If it is simply a pain management thing and you are not feeling comfortable popping before having papers, wait.

With mine it's a lot more than pain management. I have fibromyalgia..

Just want to make this clear for people still thinking this is for everyone.
You don't need a clear criminal record to grow your own!
U only need a clean record to be a designated grower.
It's been written to be as confusing as possible to "patients" but make sure to re read and ask a lawyer if you must.
I know this, but the only other "legal" medical grower I know personally has a record for narcotics and despite being sent in about the same time as mine his processing took 7 weeks longer. I do think they may drag their feet a little extra if you have convictions.

I'm 25, no criminal record for anything :S

Ya, it's a joke and a waste of time until the police chop your plants and take you away in handcuffs. Even if you don't get convicted, it's going to cost thousands in lawyer fees to go along with a lot of unwanted attention. Pics of grow on the front page of the newspaper with your name and address plastered all over it.

You and Hippy give such great advice!
