How many Cobbs for 4x6 room?

hello again RIU,
Got a serious project going on over here and plan on giving you guys some updates soon but as of right now I have a 4x6 room, 6 foot tall. I'm planning on going the diy route by building my own Cobb lights. I've decided that I'm going to go with the Mau5-IV Grow kit from cutter electronics, here's the link: https://www.cutter.com.au/proddetail.php?prod=cut2900

So here's the real deal, I have the money to spend and wanna make sure I can get maximum watts in this tent without having to supplement co2 or burning the plants. Thinking either 12 cobbs or 16 cobbs. Really leaning towards 16 though because the more watts the more yield but like I mentioned before, I do not wish to burn my plants. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :blsmoke:

16 CXB3590 @ 50watts in a 4 x 6, sounds pretty fucken good to me!

Email Mark at Cutter and tell him you want 16 cobs and drivers for them and he will do you a good deal. Better than buying 4 of the kits.

Thanks for the info, @klx. I feel like a 16 setup will bring in some very nice yields Any chance you have marks email so I can get in touch with him? Thanks again:joint:

You could run six or eight COBs. I run 4 COBs in a 2X4 tent. It's more then enough light. I replaced 400 watts of HID with COBs. Estimated wattage is around 170-200. If I updated the set up. I'd add another two chips. Not for the wattage but for the for temp.

COBs are a different kind of animal. You can use half the wattage in COBs and grow the same as you can with the less efficient, HID dated technology.

12-16 COBs in a 4 X 6....Imo, is super overkill. I'd recommend a total of 6 to 8.
