DNA Genetics Sour Tangie:joint: is what i have my eyes on 80% Tangie (sativa) 20% East Coast Sour Diesel (indica), Known for growing tall! However ill be training them from an early stage and also be setting them into flowering when they're half way up my thigh to ensure theres no over growth.. How many plants could i successfully grow with the tent with the measurements above? baring in mind ill be using Mars Hydro 144x5w LED REFLECTOR, running 3x 12" fans and a dehumidifier.. I also had in mind a HPS 600w added with the LED but i'll leave you guys to inform me on the best approach with that as well

It all depends on what style of cultivating you will be doing. the small you keep the lady the faster she matures. For example, if you were to do a sea of green type deal you would use 2 1/2 gallon pots and line them next to eachother (touching). Since youll be able to reach all ladies from the outside of the tent you can fill it up. ill add a pic for you. your ladies will mind eachother and grow accordingly. If you veg for 30 days and flower for 8-11 weeks youll have some nice nuggage.
Cropped out just over 10lbs with 6 1000w.

That's going to be a bit awkward with that lighting and space. A 1000 w HPS would fill it well.

Alternatively you could just grow under the 3x3 coverage area of the MARS. Or, as you suggested run the mars on one side and a 600 hps on the other. You could probably dial the 600 back to 400w if you felt you had enough light.

Or just run the 600 and keep your footprint 4x4 and leave some space all the way around the sides for work area. 600w fills a 4x4 pretty well.

As for number of plants..I'll just throw this out there, but I don't wish it on anyone.. would you rather get caught with 4 medium plants or 50 small plants? 4 plants sounds a lot better in a court of law :) I'd do either 4 in 5 gallons or 6 in 3 gallons.. LST them and stake them down really well for a nice canopy.

I's supplement the hid with led to get the spectrum and intensity for both yield and resin content, you can get a 1 kw wand run it at 50% or 75% with that mars and be gold :)

Totally agree with the amount though i was more thinking around the 5/6 mark.. So far 4/6 have popped and 2 have opened through the shell, ill keep you guys updated with the progress of things.

Long day today guys so sorry for the replies, any thoughts on how my heat will look with the led and 600W HPS in the mars hydro tent? this will all be in soil as well running 3 12" fans and a dehumidifier, as far as country heat where i live is pretty cold sometimes damp

I think that you guys are doing the OP a real disservice. If it were me I would think of putting about a thousand in a SOG setup. If it were a 4'11" x 4'11' tent I could do 2 thousand. If I had a 4'15" x 5'3" I could retire.
RUN THAT SHIT!

Also could anyone tell me what these REALLY tiny worm type things are, they're so small there hardly recognisable! The space has been fully bleached and cleaned, the soil was shop bought specifically for seedlings and cuttings and was sterile so im wondering how they got there, whats attracting them to it and also how to prevent and get rid of them before they start partying and getting jiggy on my roots:hump:

You should ID them before you kill them.
