How many plants would you put in a 16x8 space?

10 Or 12 in 10 gal pots
2 month veg if ya have the ceiling height
Under 4 1k or 4 600w

Veg in a Sep room and harvest a few one week and replace with vegs... Rinse and repeat for perpetual.

With everything dialed in you could theoretically get 8-10 oz per plant

Hey there, thanks for your response

I dont think I have the luxury of having a separate veg room. Veg and Flower will have to occur in the 16x8 space.

Also I had a feeling 4 lamps would be way too small. I was thinking 6, is this advisable?

I didn't do the exact math on it but the gold standard is 50w/sqft. Hid such as hps and mh will give you the most lumens given you control heat. Cfls work but need to have a fan(s) blowing on them but are good for side lighting... And leds run cooler some people get similar results to hid can be placed closer to tops and are great for side lighting uv and getting those w/sqft up without killing the meter man and your wallet.

Use training techniques to fit the girls to the space and level out the canopy(s). flip when they are 1/2 to 1/3 the height you want to finish

What do you mean by flip?

Flip: to Change lighting schedule from veg to flower. ex: 24/0, 20/4, Or 18/6 for veg to 12/12 to induce flowering. (budding)

You want to flip at 2 ft of final height if the strain is sativa. You could do 3 ft for Indicas. That covers 1/3 and 1/2 of final height respectively, the left over foot is for reflector, and ventilation. The reason for flipping at those heights is the stretch phase during early flower. Sativa stretch more; think long running colas, Indicas stretch less and are mostly squat like a Bush, bigger denser colas. Head high and body stone respectively.

Check out the forum a lot of good info just check for the stickies

hey sorry for the late reply, but is it possible to split a tent so that one area of it is veg and the other is flower?

if so, how much of a 16x8 tent would you dedicate to veg?

Very possible. Just hang mylar/Panda film cut in the middle add a cheap zipper and presto a new wall.

As for how much to devote to veg that's up to you but I'd aim for 1/4 to 1/2 of the room. Just keep in mind they get bigger in flower.
