How many plants?

Hey everyone,
I did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for.......
Can anyone tell me how many plants I can put under a 600 watt HPS light?
I was guessing at maybe around 9?
does this sound ok to you?

You will get better results if you have a reflective surrounding. White paint or mylar. With a 600 watt light you are going to have heat build up. I was told years ago the easy way to remember was 1 plant for every 100 watts.

i agree one 100 watts per plant is pretty good and yea make sure u have some sort of fanning/ air system

Thats 100 watts of mh or hps light for you cfl guys. Just didnt want any confusion there.

A light mover can help you to grow 9 plants. You will be able to add a few more plants and lower the lights without burn. You could also buy another light for a little more money. It may be too much for you. I have 3 movers and swear by them. Some people hate them though. It makes it hard to hook up vents to the lights. Just a suggestion.

I Like your idea about them too. i just dont have the room to implentment them.. maybe one day.

Light movers are awesome! You can maximize your light. If you have the space, a light mover is the way to go.
