How short can you keep a mother?

I am in the middle of my first grow. Vegging 5 feminized Chronic (by Serious Seeds) at the moment in a 4 by 4 by 6.5 tent.

I will either turn one of the plants that is currently vegging into a mother or take cuttings from the best looking plant and make it the mother, but I'm not sure yet. In either case I guess I am taking some chances on the genetics, but that's fine with me.

As for what I expect out of this mother, I'm not envisioning a large scale operation in the future. I would want no more than 4 or 5 cuttings from the mother every 1-2 months.

In that scenario, how compact can I keep her? I ask because I would like to put her under my kitchen sink using CFLs. The space is about 2 feet tall and 4.5 feet long. It isn't imperative that the mother survive. I am prepared to stress the shit out of her to keep her in that space and if she dies, oh well.

Thanks!

i think you could pull this off just pinch the top or super crop and just keep pinching or lst to make a bush. you will prob have to water all the time as she will get pretty root bound

They are just babies right now. Not more than 4 inches tall. I'm already starting to plan my next grow and think of how I can speed it up, though, hence this post.

Here is a pic of the space I am considering for the mother.

It's about 4 feet wide (whole length not shown in pic), 2 feet deep, and 2 feet tall. I will remove the white middle shelf.

You would advise deliberately picking a small pot to make this happen and stunt growth, I take it? What size pot are you thinking? A half-gallon?
