How should i dry my plant without spending a dime

I want to know the best way to dry a plant with a basic humidity reader, a spare bedroom, cardboard boxes amd plastic bins, fans, etc. But i am looking for a tried and true method that YOU have had success with.i would prefer to chop the whole plant and dry it at once but i am also open minded. Some of this will be made into dabs, and some left to smoke.

Ready... GO!

We use a closet we keep empty just for this in a spare bedroom, I know most people can't get away with this but I am lazy and it works wonderfully for us. Nothing fancy, I hang branches on hangers and have a little hanging kitchen basket (3 tier) for single nubs. Fully trimmed before hanging almost no leaf left on. No fan no dehumidifier. 10 - 14 days when I can just start to break a semi think stem I cut off all buds and move into open lidded containers in a small cabinet for another day to 3 then burped in glass for a few days. I have been told I have delicious smelling and tasting girls :D.

Your climate matters, a lot of folks can't do this due to low humidity, high humidity etcetera but it works for me. This reply was previously posted in https://www.rollitup.org/t/show-me-your-drying-set-ups.961151/#post-14144321 you should check it out.

Stay away from cardboard, it will suck the moisture out to quick IMO. Good luck!
Right. Ive told people the same thing because they put plants straight in a box. But ive also heard of people putting pieces of cardboard in there to make sure the humidity doesnt get too high. But i have alot of household items to use, that was my main point lol

You can also brown bag it ... Trim buds on stalk , then cut free into bag .
Bag breathes but slows excessive drying ... I roll top closed ( not smashing them just closed enough like a big lunch bag ) , roll bag around every once in a while to mix and aerate nugs. Helps keep buds in dark , plus easy to store ( say a shelf / under bed / etc. ) and works pretty well.

There is a bunch of different methods ....

I think it all depend on your particular climate. My drying methods change with the seasons. In the winter, with low humidity I hang whole plants. In the summer months I hang branches. And I never wet trim. I remove large fans and any leaves with a visible petioles. Once dry I clean them up over a trim tray, save the dry sift and sugar leaves for later processing.
Check out the link provided and try a couple different ways until you find what works best for you.

Build a square wooden box, put the whole plant in there in there, cut it off at the stalk and hang it whole upside down. Don't take a single leaf off. Leave a small fan at the bottom or top circulating the air, but not hitting the plants. Open the box on 4 times a day for 1-2 mins days 1-3. and twice day from days 4-8, on day 9-12 open it once a day.

Once the stems crack, and snap, trim them up and put them in jars. Leave them be for 1 day, burp them. Then leave them be for about 2 weeks. Come back to the dankest, stinkiest weed ever
