How to Fix Dry Buds!

I wrote about this in another thread but thought I should share this one with the group. This info is for after harvest during air curing or after the cure during the smoking.

If you have buds that are dried or drying out, first you need to smoke more often because that is a crime, but no one likes to smoke dry bud. Also the curing process can be a bit tricky at first, especially if you live in a very dry climate. So here is my tip.

Get a sealing jar from Ikea, $3 investment. Or steal one of your mom's canning jars.

Get a round humidifier for humidors, $5 investment, or less. Wet paper towel or those make up remover pads taped to the lid work too but its a pretty temporary solution.

Little two way tape or sticky back velcro and you attach the humidifier to the lid of the jar and moisten the humidifier. Make sure you drain off any loose water as the humidifier instructions state, you dont want to drop water all over your bud, that is too much moisture.

Now if you have a stash that is drying out, drop it in there for a few hours and watch it come back to life.

If you are curing bud and over dried it, drop half your buds in there for 4-12 hours and then put them back in the jar with the rest, 2-3 days later the humidity will balance out and freshen up your entire batch of curing buds. Over moisten it in the jar, just lay them out on the counter (depending on your climate) for a few hours and dry them a little more. This solution allows you to moisten and dry your buds until you get the consistency you prefer.

I have attached a picture of mine. $8 total cost.

It works like a charm. A humidor is also a great place to store you pre-rolled blunts, keeps them nice and fresh.

WARNING: You are putting bud in a very humid environment in that jar, you cant leave them in there long term or I can guarentee one thing, MOLD and bud you dont want to smoke. So be careful and keep an eye on the bud in the jar, as soon as it feels fresh again, pull it out. Better to not moisten it enough and have to put it back in the jar in a day or two than to over moisten it and have it go moldy.

Now someone will likely have a reason why this practice is bad, but I cant see a horrible downside in comparison to having to smoke dry bud.
