How to make outdoor plants bigger?

Aloha!

I'm on my first grow here in Hawaii, where about 12 hours of both sunlight and darkness is offered year round. Out of 3 plants, 1 turned out to be a boy so I chopped him (may have been a hermie but I listened to your advice and chopped it!) about the other 2...

1 girl is about 2 feet tall, the other a measly I'd say, 5 inches tall... both are budding nicely though. bongsmilieHowever, I'm not going to produce a very big yield!

I'd like to plant more right away and my question is.... is there a way to let them veg without having them live in doors at all, or am I going to have to keep them inside until they're ready to flower? Maybe topping would at least help with the yield?

Thanks in advance for your advice and thoughts! I've posted pics of what's growing now (the last one is the little 5 inch one):

in order to keep them in veg that strain will need at least 14 hours of light. you could set up little outdoor lights to shine on your plant 2 hours before and after sun rise and set. at this point you cant revert but next time.

There are, however, strains that will veg until very tall no matter what the light cycle is. These are called ruderalis strains, or sometimes auto-flowering strains. These plants flower with maturity.many seed banks carry these genetics.

Awesome info, thank you very much!

I'm just glad I've grown something on my own from bag seed that I'll be able to smoke! Even if it is only a quarter, lol :)

They look alright though, yeah? Any ideas on how much my current plants might yield/how much longer to go? I'd say about 4 weeks flowering so far (they look a bit slow growing for a bit, but have been going crazy lately) so at least 4-6 more to go..am I right?

Anyways, awesome info for my new grow, I'll definately use the advice. My next question then would be what kind of outside light? Could I put a grow light in my porch light and keep the plants by my porch until flowering time?

Or should I use particular lights suspended above the plant? How much light do I need to keep them in veg state and from flowering?

Lots of ? I know, thanks again :)
