Hydro organic - worth it for indoor grows under 90 days?

When I read the short section on using hydro organic solution (i.e. pure blend, fox farm etc) in Jorge Cervantez's Marijuana Grow Bible, he suggested to not even bother trying to grow with organics unless the grow is longer than 90 days. He suggested that it's not long enough to reap the benefits.

I haven't read this anywhere else.

I would assume he means that because a clean hydro system should theoretically have no microorganisms to start with, beginning the whole process of microbe growth and breaking down substances from scratch wouldn't produce worthwhile benefits in a short growth period. The benefits of a strong microbe population, assuming one was created in time for the plants to make use of their work, should also be decreased in a hydro system where there is far less organic material for microbes to work on. There is also less use for the gasses they would provide to the roots, as most hydro systems supply an abundance of air to the roots by design.
