Hydrogen Peroxide Dwc

67 is fine. Lower gives more DO, but root metabolism slows as well.. happy medium is 67-69. Drop it down to help kill root disease, is all is well, run it higher for better growth.

What gives you the impression that you're flowing 500gph though? Don't trust what the pump says on the side.. that's for like 2 feet of head or something. You're pumping water all the way to the top of your octagon I imagine, that can really decrease the flow, especially on a cheaper pump. The "gph" figure is always at some certain head pressure in small print, different for all pumps and manufactures. Watts is a better thing to look at for pump comparability.. the actually power of the pump.

If you run your pump for 30 seconds, or maybe a minute, catching the water where it pumps out at the top, you can then measure it and work out the actual GPH. I think you'll see that you'll probably want to upgrade your pump, and that a bunch more flow through those tubes is the difference between heath's success and the root rot you're experiencing.

I measured the flow and it's closer to 300 gph through the system. The H2o2 has been working well as far as root rot, but I found two of these in the rez.

Ultimately it's a matter of preference. Each gardener has a unique situation and goals. Ebb and flow tables do not expose the roots to the h202 solution constantly, and they also are much less prone to root disease than DWC .The science behind hydroponic growing and the functionality of h202 suggests that it is disharmonious to the growing process and should not be used as normal maintenance. Bottom line is that it causes slight damage to your roots. This damage is easily tolerated if the alternative is diseased roots, but why accept a situation where those are your only choices. I use h202 all the time in my garden for different things, including the occasional root dunk, but in my opinion adding beneficial bacteria to the res is cheaper, easier and the proper way to guard roots against disease.
what is good beneficial bacteria? I use gh flora nova rockwool dwc. Thanks

DE$FINTELY only as a quick fix homie !! mabe like cap full in to a big 17L for a week at the most then swictch that water out and put all new stuff in WITHOUT using proxide if your doing something do it right !!! that way you only gotta do it once

hope this helps guys !! then get on ordering HYDRO GUARD by bonticare k this is a beauty and its what your looking for youy can use IT ALLL THE TIME NO PROBLEM and you will have healthy roots no bacteria.

The likely CAUSE is insufficient O2 in the rez.

One simple solution is to add a small gph pump + venturi . You will need to put it on a timer as constant running causes heat which will quickly increase rez temps
