This is a great webstie for Prebuffered vesus Un buffered Coco . Explains how to Rinse and Buffer cheap dried Coco Blocks using CalMag ( something to do with double Cations and avoiding Calcium Lockout .

This website has a plethera of great info for someone new to growing and new to Coco . Also has info for the experienced Coco grower .

If you want to watch the video from the above website , go to youtube and search " How to Prepare and Buffer Coco Coir " . The same video is available from the above website , but to watch it , it will just takes you to youtube .

Here is a Pic of my Wildflower garden , a few hours after adding a large dose of CalMag to my Coco Coir Unbuffered grow meduim . I initially started my garden with Unbuffered Coco Coir , because I did not know I even had to Buffered the Coco.
After fertilyzing with a somewhat large dose of CalMag my plants grew right away and the leaves looks perked up very much . , Now I am goiing to Buffer Coco in the future , or pay up for some prerinsed prebuffered Coco .

From what I just read , if you Rinse and Buffer Coco with CalMag and add the right amount of Perlite into the Coco Medium , that the amount of Roots and side hairs on the roots ; if all is prepared right , or if you buy prerinsed and prebuffered , then the Grow Medium after prepared and some Perlite added , your root growth will be unmatched in performance , compared to other mediums .
