I got bugs in my hydroton rock!!!! What do i do???????

Im using 2gal buckets an i found theses bugs all in the rock an when u pull the top bucket off the roots r covered in bugs!!!! They have wings..what r they??? How u get rid of them???? How did i get them???

Could be gnats or aphids. You live in a world filled with bugs and they like plants. You got them because you didn't do anything to make your plants unattractive to them. You can use neem oil as a preventive but now that you have them I think you are looking at some kind of a dunk.
