Ok so I am first time grower. I have germinated 5 superskunk seeds using the paper towel method. I got the seeds to open and roots to shoot out. I then put then in soil and put them under a 400w hps light. They have not broken the surface yet after about 40hrs. Am I doing something wrong or is this normal?

Thank you, I am just anxious probably. I think my grow room was a little too hot to start out as well, my soil kept drying up quickly, do i still got a chance?

I think you still have a chance. Yeah, you should keep the soil moist but not sloppy wet. I'm not the best at soil grows though. I've only done hydro. I use rockwool cubes but they can take a few days to break the surface too.

cover the tops of your pots with that clear wrap and put a rubber band around it until you see a sprout then immeditaley take it off..this will keep the soil moist

From the question you are asking, I'm going to assume that you haven't had much experience, right? Anyways, I would strongly suggest you use floro's right now and don't put the seeds under your 400hps. Too much light.
