i recently acuired some haze clippings actually im trying to figure out how to work with it

my friend has 4 haze plants both females. i asked him for clippings. he told me that i have to cut the stem of the plant in a angle like this /

i did so then he said put it in water for a lilttle while then plant it in soil

will it really work this way or if anyone can put input on this it would be much apprieciated

thanx

i just need to know if what i was doing is correct and will it even grow in soil cause i heard you can only grow clippings in a hydroponic system

its currently in water now il transplant it to soil soon

input would be great

It will work. Here's a better way ... Get some small styrofoam cups, like the ones you drink coffee out of. Punch some holes along the sides very near the bottom. Fill the cups with Perlite (local nursery) and plant the cuttings in there. Dip the end of the stems, up to about 1/4 inch into rooting powder (also at the nursery) before planting them into the Perlite. Snip most of the leaves in half. Keep the little plants under floros 24/7. 40 watts is just fine ... and use the lights intended for plants ... available at Home Depot. They should start to root in about ten days. You can test them by using the "tug" test. Just gently tug the plants after 10 days and you should feel a little resistance. Don't tug very hard ... just gently as you don't want to pull the plant out of the Perlite. After you have good root growth, transplant into your soil mix and start vegging them under your regular grow light.

Instead of styrofoam cups try clear cups. That way you don't tug on the tender plants you can see the roots. Just get the clear cup inside a colored cup so the roots don't see daylight.

Also AMOP (alternative medicine outreach program) legal medical marijuana here in Oregon (weeeeeeeeeeeeeee) after cutting the stems at an angle like / gently chew on them. Then dip them in the rooting horomone. Cut the leaves on the lower branches off competely. Cut the other in half. Take a clear plastic cup the same size as the one you put your clone (the tech term) in and tape on top like a hood. This will act like a greenhouse and you won't have to worry about watering them.

I learned this from the people that run the medical marijuana program here in southern oregon. This gives you a greenhouse type of setting to start your clones. You can simply slip the outer cup off every few days to check on the progress of the roots. When you see roots it's time to transplant.

well sadly i dont have any type of rooting powerder or hormone for the stem (the side that gets planted)

my clipping process looked somthing like this

picture the right picture as a cup full of water thats been sitting for a few hours thats how i had part of my clipping

then i tranplanted it to soil and clipped alot of the big leaves cause it was weighing the plant down

so far it looks alright so far

Growing pot is like doing any job. If you don't have the right tools things just don't turn out as well.

You need to spend a few dollars and invest in some things you will need to grow and do it right. Rooting hormone, plastic cups (clear & colored), a magnifying glass, moisture wand (you stick it in a plant & it lets you know if you need to water it), fungicide, insect spray, plant food, planting soil, exhause fan, lighting system. These are things that you should have or plan on getting if you want to do this right.

I'm doing the same thing, but I have a nursery close by to pick up some product. I wont be growing them indoors, if I need to, it will be only for about 6 hours. Is there a way to let it root outdoors in a cup with some Perlite at the bottom?

If absolutely neccessary, I can grab a light for indoors.

Thank you
