How long is it taking you to "Dry them until the stems bend but not break"? I have had good results with a slow dry (about a week, maybe more) in a dark room with circulating air, and not over 60% Rh . I don't point the fan right at the hanging buds, that still have the sugar leaf, but all the big fan have been cut off. After about a week, I will squeeze a bud. If it feels dry to the touch, I jar it. I burp it every 2-3 hours for only about 10 mins. I will dump it out and roll it around, then put it back in and recap. If you are getting to that point of it "Feeling dry to the touch" in say 3-4 days its happening to fast. Also, if you are putting it back in the jar for 12 hours right away, chances are you will still have to much moisture, and everything will get real wet again. Then mold can start to set in. Try the every few hours for the the first few days method. Then, after it gets a bit dryer, do the 12 hours for the rest.

Growing it and harvesting is not the end of the battle. A whole crop can go to shit with a bad cure real fast. And once it goes there, there is no coming back. No getting rid of that hay smell. Take your time with the cure, and dont rush it. :leaf:
