Greetings All,
Newb with first time grow.
Bagseed/ outside Ohio days/ inside plastic blackout at night in unheated garage.
3 plants at about 2 weeks into flower.
This was a WTF experiment that got interesting so I kept at it.
Just watered before pics: only about every 4 days. Very hot here this week but still trying to limit as I have been told I looked over watered.
Ph is 6.8 on all plants, any suggestions on yellow/striated leaves? IMG_0413.JPG
Do they look like about 11 days flowered?
Overall what's everyone's opinion on everything, size, shape, color, smell?:)
As always the knowledge trickled down is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance to all responders!!

Hey man no you don't smell hahaha, like it!

They are looking good and i wouldn't worry to much about the yellowing of the bottom leaves too much, they may need a liitle more N in the mix. what nutes you using?

Is that 11 days from flip 12/12 or from first signs of flowers?

You should let the soil dry in between watering, You can usually just feel how heavy the pot is to get an idea, i found that the when you get this right the plants will reward you with good growth due to better root condition and size.

Happy Growing

I'm in a State of desperation where if I was to move plants outside they would be stolen.

Your state looks good so far.

So I don't put them outside, but if I did I would try to maintain even root temps by possibly draping a white sheet (of something) covering the roots AND the area around the ground to lower temp to match indoor temps as much as possible and spray the yard for pests.
(looks like leaf damage on left one)

Good Luck!

Thanks GrandPapy,
I'm glad someone took the time to comment.
My "State" is only 1/2 understanding starting next sept. Lol
And fences make good neighbors
They have been an outdoor grow all along, I just take them inside the garage at night to
Protect from ambient light then back out the next morning,it has been super hot here "low 90's" last couple of days and easily 6+ hours of direct sunlight , are you leaning towards root overheat? Bugs or nutes or ALL the above?
Thanks again.

Appreciate someone finally reaching out, thought I was going to have to put it in neon, felt like the teacher was choosing all around me lol
But I thank you and GrandPapy both, I like a consencus.
So I'm afraid you may have hit the nail on the head and my thumb at the same time.
As stated silly newbie did this for fun, until it showed signs of life. I made a soil blend of 1/3 topsoil,1/3 organic veggie AND 1/3 Miracle Grow..... I know NOW!
But that's where I'm at.
I expected nitrogen burn during flower but my cheap ppm meter just reads "very low"

And your thinking I'm nitrogen deficient.

Which more watering might help, but I'm afraid that may release more nutrients, but honestly, I don't think the MG soil nutes are working or they are all gone from an early life of overwatering. It has been super hot here for a couple days and they sit on a white deck, could I have overheated the roots?
And I agree, not too worried about the small bottom yellows,BUT THESE Pics.....
Are second or third layer up and are droopy though the stems look green.

I have backed the water off but these last couple of very hot days have screwed me up, on a scale of one to five their water says they are a 0.5 so I water and yes, I'm learning to feel the weight of the pot but now I fear water.

Was thinking of lowering the ph a little it's 6.8 to see if that helped but at this point I'm afraid to do anything because it all seems backwards.
Do you think I could benefit from a bloom enhancer, no nutrients fed ever ( due to fear of releasing the nutrient hounds from the MG)
And if so could you recommend an over the counter product? Not cheap but trying to do it cheap. Lol
Oh and I blacked them out for 36 hours which now I'm seeing may or may not be correct and they came back into the light and started true 12/12 on 9/13 (very tiny buds started maybe a week or so before)
So eleven days unless I should start counting different?

I'm trying, perhaps too hard!!!!!

I know I wrote a book but I rarely get a response it seems, so I'm going to squeeze you for all the info I can get Ha ha
Anything else you can think of for me to do wrong? :)
Again, I would appreciate any time or suggestions you can spare.
Thanks.

I don't grow outside so can't comment on any of that but they look good for something you wasn't serious about, looks like you have the bug.
Best advice I could give anyone starting out is keep it simple in the beginning. Maybe look a some base nutes for the flowering stage I've used both canna and advanced nutrients. Both seem good I wouldn't worry too much about the light yellowing as the plants are now in flower so will require less N anyway.
Get some base nutes and remember keep it simple if you enjoy it maybe move indoors for more control. Oh and let them dry out..

Should be more people on here with more outdoor experience than me that should be able to give you some more pointers.

It's a great hobby and very addictive once you see your first buds growing booooooom haha

Happy Growing

Thanks again Neckpod (Obi Wan)
Lol
I appreciate it a lot.
And I really appreciate you stating your limitations on outdoor instead of blowing smoke.
So some light bloom nutes.....
....and do you think I should just give them a sun break and still not water even though they are 0.5 out of 5 ?
Thanks

To be honest the only thing I know about outdoor or soil is, that's where f*cking bugs come from. That and watering by weight like neckpod said.

IMO....Lift the pot b4 watering

THINK

then water or not

as any plant falls to senescence/bud/flower it no longer needs much vegetation

you can expect a yellowing of lower leaves as (N) is consumed

you may apply some (N) I don't but allow the plant to consume its own

of vital importance is ample supply of (P) (K) to make them buds

looking good

good luck

ps consider making ur own nutes for veg use nettle for bud use comfrey(Russian naturally ..lol)

Thanks so much Vostok,
Very few replies so your time is greatly appreciated
From what I've read I was hoping it was time for a bloom feed, next Wednesday will be 3 weeks in flower.
But that yellow stuff just "freaks me out man!" Ha ha
Again, thanks for your assistance if you can think of any other gems to share, I am a blank canvas. I have had folks say calcium deficiency and a lot of overwatered inferences, and quite frankly, I really don't know!!!!
And the thought of my own nutes, so very far outta my abilities right now, too focused on the first child to contemplate anything else.
And certainly not the next!!! Lol
Also my supply stores are limited, any thoughts on a store bought preferably liquid feed for the P and K+ ?
All input appreciated ,
Thanks!

Thanks GrandPapy !
Honesty is so refreshing lol
Working on that water by weight thing.
And every night I do the best I can to scout for those F*cking Bugs!
So far so good!
Thanks :)
