I only have two 13 watt cfls at the moment and was wondering

these things don't put off any heat?

I know I need higher wattage but you'd think two of these would at least warm the soil a bit, no?

Heat is heat a thermator will tell you how much heat you have.

The soil does need to be warm. But not hot. below 90 for sure below 80 is better. I think 74 is a good low limit for growth.

They should be fine for a seedling or early vegetative state. After that, you'll want to move up to a higher wattage to see some rapid growth and development

yea I plan on getting better ones this weekend. The local store only had those and I figure I'll jump put them in some lamps once I get better ones lol

But yea my soil is rather chilly. No thermometer in the room but the house stat says 76 today
