In all sincerity. Does that level of growth not lead to over population in soil? Honestly. I use the natural growth on White Oak bark. And pot like that dies out due to over crowding. A short hick up of a week or two. But it shows. Are you further cutting that is my question.

I’ve grown many mono tubs and I’d say this is a very normal looking tub. It is fully colonized and ready to support fruiting conditions.

My apologies sincere question in organics. I gave up the shroom thing. Too much fun. No sleep. Lack of sleep. Like Nutmeg trip. LOL. Apologies again and a laugh.

Nothing to apologize for at all, we are simply sharing experiences.
Saw fungus on dirt. Thought organics. Not real organics.

Man cubensis are the shit. Just need to maintain sterility. Stupid easy and cheap. As I said. Had to give it up. Crazy stuff you enjoyed. Like listening to the fish breathe in the aquarium in the other room. LOL. Good stuff if done right. Avoid the nutmeg. You'll puke trying to swallow enough. And if you do? Your mind is altered and forget sleep for 3 days. For real. Don't ask. But I've tried it and watched deprived addicts pay top dollar for it.

I wouldn't think so, the mycelium is only going to spend the resources to send up what it can sustain. I do get aborts, everyone does but I don't know if I'd correlate one thing with the other. I honestly don't know though , ya know lol

When you begin to be extreme in substrate depth you find that unless your fruiting comes conditions degrade, aborts dissapear. Every pin goes to maturity.

But we are talking 10 to 14, inches deep.

Next to impossible if you use any manure and still tough with straw because the mushroom develops a degree of heat as well.

But setting up am uncontrolled compost heap will rot out the center and then demand contaminants.

Still, no aborts...at all.

Sorry to hack but im a noob here with fungi..but somewhere I saw white oak being used as a medium?
Wish i had some closer contacts and some guidance as my land grows several types naturally both indoors and out, due to the fact I'm located directly inside a predominantly Red/White Oak forests basically. After any type of humid spells alot of our outdoor soils get very fuzzy like that and several types of spores the pop up...

The implications... But sorry for the de-rail/hyjack.
