I'm currently growing in flood tables over 1kw lights, I was going to expand it but I've decided it doesn't seem truly efficient. So instead of getting a larger facility and doubling lights, just go vertical...

I was thinking of doing some type of 6" PVC structure. Some kind of a closed loop with 2 or 3" netpots sog style, I'll attach a pic of what I was thinking... But I want to get coverage on all 4 sides for every light, which makes a 12 light setup very intricate. Size isn't the issue, nor construction cost, just efficiency. So I was thinking of doing 5-6' squares, sloping 12" per loop with 4-5 loops per light. I'll post an example....

I just wanna know what I'm getting myself into. I don't want to use drips or sprayers if I can avoid it. Just a pump in res at bottom that runs to top. Just a slight slant all the way using elbows, about 20 elbows and 20 4' pipes per light.

Here's a pic, just more closed and dynamic I guess... I'll draw a pic too...

It wouldn't be easy but it's been done I just think a lot of problems can happen that vertical scrog actually looks fairly easy and probably give you less trouble in the long run. After all one plant clogs up the system your going to have problems. Not to mention it's very easy to go well over 99 plants like that so I wouldn't do it must be a good 90 plants per light. And 12 lights how would you even get from 1 system to the next? That's 12 octagons spiralling in a big ass room probably over 1,000 plants. Hopefully you're good at gymnastics. Lol

Too much time and work for me check out Tty's grow that's more like what I'm thinking. But I like doing outdoor too and it's enough work for me keeping the indoor going while doing outdoor plus I do other shit for money.

I was going to go square shaped instead of an octagon, just keep it light in the corners. Just gonna try one light for now so if i like it I can still change some things. It really seems like the way to go for me. Thinking 4 tiers of 4" PVC, 2" netpots 4-5' wide but I'm not use to running my bulbs so far apart, meaning 24-30". I'm usually 12-18" away but Well have to wait n see... I just haven't exactly figured out how I'm gonna get my initial clone roots through the pots, I just built a big aero cloner using collars, I thought I could take my cut, put it thru netpot then dip and attach collars so when I pull them out the roots are dangling through already. Unless I build dams but I hate dwc. I dunno. I'll work out the kinks...

Yeah I seen that, crazy to think that my setup will go from 16sf to 70 or 80sf. That's how people get those crazy numbers like 5 per light. My veg is my biggest concern, I already grow sog and managing clones is such an issue, gonna have to triple my veg if I want to do it, I was thinking of making t5s on a shelf. I hate harvesting at different times too. But I'll be scaling my lights back if it works out like I hope which it never does.I'll make a journal on here too. But I really think it's possible. I'm not Heath Robinson but I get 20-25g per plant when I flower immediately, so if I can fit 128. around a light, 32 per tier, 3-4 tiers would be 96-128 which is like 5-6 per light. Crazy. I struggle to get 1.5-2 atm...
