I want to move to Colarado.

I live in Australia at the moment, i can trim bud like a pro for proper boutique style buds pretty easy and fairly fast. Also grow ok, probably not as well as some of you.
Anyway id like to have a crack at moving to Colarado or LA etc and trim buds for large grows as a job.

How likely is it that i can get work in this feild? most people i know hate trimming but i like it and would love to move to the USA to work in some sort of feild to do with Cannabis.
Any work going in this field?

Id like to eventually have my own grow ops for medical use and the cannabis stores.
Im guessing i need a green card but would some grower help out in that way?

Once you move there and get settled, get whatever cards or forms required to work in that field. The last adds I saw for trimmers were ranging from 12- 15$ an hour.

If you look in Colorado craigslist, go to jobs and search marijuana you should get quite a few results

Kinda what I was thinking... You are going to struggle to get by on that small amount of money and that's assuming you will be able to do it full time.

I like snowboarding so thatsone reason to go to Colorado, the small wage i could get used to. Just thinking of any pot related job really as ive learnt a whole lot and been a grower of chillis and sometimes cannabis since 1996. Id also like to do that in Amsterdam if there was work in the feild somewhere. even at a seed bank

Where i live now its very expensive to live and im on around $400 a week (low wage)with great surf although im getting a bit old and unfit( in middle age) for how heavy the waves are around here.
I dont mind trimming buds, i figure a lot of people hate it so i might get an easy foot in the door if i can do that. Id really prefer to have a legal grow operation for medical or whatever.
Where i live medical canna is becoming legal but its all imported from Canada even though there are plenty of skilled growers in Australia. smh.

Start a mobile trimming service. Get an old camper, it's got power, water, AC, gut it and put some lights and tables in the back, you plus 2-3 other workers. If you set up clients right, you could have a handful of customers that you rotate through on a regular basis.

12-15$ an hour isn't going to leave you any snow boarding money.

I don't know of anyone who has been able to break into the commercial side of growing despite many who are trying.

Expensive to live in Colorado, especially in Denver or any ski town. Dispensaries and grows pay close to minimum wage, which means you need more than one job to eat, drive, and live inside. You will likely have little left for fun, snowboarding, or moving forward with life. BUT, please do come here, sign up for school, get a job, and in a few years with a degree, you can get a great job and make plenty of money to do whatever you want.
