I would like your thoughts on my growbox project!

Hey guys! First build in such a small space!
I wanna turn my 70*64*47cm metal box into a growbox!
First i was pretty settled on 23w cfl's, but I found Led bulbs that are cheaper and more efficient. 15w 2700K led (1350lm)
The space is really small but i think for vegging it is perfect! Of course i will try if it's possible to flower in there! ;)
My idea is 16*15w leds in the box 8 sockets with a y-splitter each. Will that serve me well?
How would you fill the box with lights?
Advice appreciated!

I think those bulbs would take up too much of your growing height. Some led light strips/ under counter lighting would be much lower profile and give you alot more room.

Im not looking for a cheap grow light, just a project to keep me occupied. The earlier posts were right about cost being high. The heatsinks alone are $50 a pop, not including shipping. If i skip the pcb's and mount the leds on thermal pads it comes to roughly $3 dollars a piece * 192. All together thats almost $800 not including driver. Way over my limit for a pet project.
Hahaha hahah. What?!? No.

One board ran low power without an additional heatsink needed will work infinitely better than what you were intending to do.

Maybe im confused and misunderstood you, or we are talking about two totally different things. I am not looking for a light for a confined space... I am not looking for a kit, i was looking for a project. Thanks for your input

Edit. I am posting not where i thought. Disregard my nonsense

Were saying by the time you put those led light bulbs in there you will have practically no room for plants. Its the bulbs taking up 2-3 inches of space vs about a half inch or so with an LED panel. But I can tell you have no clue about LEDs judging by your comment of putting ~200 individual leds in there. Im laughing just thinking about it, and thats even if they were free.

But back on topic. Wouldnt part of this "project" include looking for "a light for a confined space" considering thats the exact thing you need. I can understand you not wanting to spend ~$150 on lighting, but no matter how you slice it, bulbs of any sort are not the way to go for your project.

Come to think of it, learning a bit about LEDs and soldering, in and of itself would make for a fun little project (and no, it wouldnt cost anywhere near $800).

Edit: Just realized I wasnt responding to the OP lol And apparently the post I quoted has since been edited or deleted lol nothing to see here

Haha I know that the led panel is better. I know its more efficient and lower profile. I also know that I live in Austria and that i cant get stuff from Northerngrowlights....
I dont have a job cause I am in University, so i have the money my parents provide. I build a cob light already for flower and am planing to rebuild it other form-factor. The box here is just a fun project and for veg/aerocloning and i pay for all bulbs (14) only 30€+ 10€ for y adapters and sockets.
I would love to have the best quality and all but Austria is a shit place to send grow stuff to. In my growshops the tents you can order for 100$ i pay 150€.

Just wait and see how it will look like and how it will grow :weed:
