I can't find any 5' x 5' flood trays on the market, so how would anyone suggest building one? Plywood and pond liner? If so, how could you ensure that no pools form and remain in the tray after draining?

You can go to a fish&aquarium store that builds fish tanks and see if they would build you one .I would use plastic1/4" thick,if you find a place to build it for you. I would cut all the pieces frist than take it be put together.Or a fiberglass shop and see what they charge you.Thats all I can think of right now.PEACE

I used two masonary trays purchased at home depot.
they are used to mix mortar
drilled two holes in each for the fill/drain lines and filled them with hydroton.
works great
