Idiotic newbie grower

Yo,
So after A LOT of great smoking days in my younger years and more recently getting back to smoking I though F it... I pay too much money buying crap deals for a shed load and wanted start to grow my own. Attached are pics of my current grows.... please note the two bigger ones in the same pot are feminised and non auto flower and I don't expect anything from them (I just wanted to get used to actually planting flowers etc) and the two smaller ones sepearte are auto skunk mass around about 27 days old. I totally realise I would need some bad ass set ups and lighting whatever to get serious yields but I'm not about that. I want it the natural way just sun light and water and soil. I'm in the uk and yes this time of year actual sun is rare and yes I don't want them on the actual window ledge in case my landlord notices. But are they looking particularly terrible? Or could I be doing anything slightly different to what I am? Any help is much appreciated guys from a total novice who just wants to learn ☺

howdy, looking at your story there are 2 things your gonna have to decide on.

1: is gonna be lighting, my gut telling me you should go for cfl's to be under the radar here

2: you have one pot with 2 plants, eventually they are gonna fight for area, so your gonna have to pick one and ditch the other

Think those two would be the top 2 things to think about

Thanks for the reply dude.... the CFI lighting? Im kinda wanting to just use natural light, i pay enough as it is on electricity bills. Do they use a lot of electricity? And yeah I'm not too bothered about the 2 in one pot scenario, like I said they're not auto flower like the other two so I'm not expecting any results from them..more of just a tester of actually growing something? My understanding isn't great on the lighting cycles hence I'm more bothered about the autos rather than the straight fem that have have actual flowering light cycles? Im not even too bothered about some huge amazing yield either... i just want to experience from a novice how to get from X-Y :) Appreciate the feedback though :)

I could be possibly watering all wrong? I'm only spraying the top surface with water daily ( I read the first few weeks they don't need much?) should I be chucking a big load in now?
naw you can spray the top of the soil with water daily, I usually do it every 3 days for when I do it, course I'm under cfl's not natural sunlight. Also go by weight of the pot, that will also tell you when to water and when to not water. Like now if you pick them up they will be heavy, you'll start noticing the lightness of the pot later. I've always kept my soil moist for the most part.

Thanks man! I totally get I'm one of those thick ass idiots that some people think "WTF" is this guy doing haha.... I just wanted to avoid root rot etc and yeah, I'm fully growing under English cloudy days not a lot of sun and no artificial lighting. But from what I can they seem healthy enough... and in good condition. I'll maybe get some lighting like you suggested soon

Those are extremely small for 27 days. I'm going to guess there is more going on than not enough light. what kind of soil are they in?

I wouldn't water or spray them much. Young plants don't need much water.

You will need a light.

I use a 432 watt t5. My electric is cheap here. Cost me 20 bucks a month to run it and the fan full time in veg. Less in flower.

A good 200 watt cob led would be cheaper on electric and wouldn't need much air flow.

Smell is another issue. If you are worried about 5.0 then you need to worry about smell.

I don't think they will do good without a light. They need lots of light.

your next plot is gonna be the lighting they need, and from the development you have, they are gonna need a lot.
