The only time i will top an auto is during the stretch because i experience that they dont get stunted because of the fast grow rate. GL

I would LST before you top.

I've always topped autos and never had a problem, they just don't seem to produce as much if there not topped. but as tropicalcannabispatient said do it while stretching and it won't slow it as much. just my 2 cents

Lst and fims work well for autos as well.Both can be done pre flower quite well.
