Illinois banana republic ?

Same illinois which let a tax hike meant to fill its coffers expire under Republican leadership?? Same governor who still advocates for long term tax cuts even though the state doesnt have enough money to operate??

Their rate of theft is so high, people are leaving. It will happen again, in other states.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "Republican leadership" . I have a hard time using the word leadership in conjunction with a coercion based government. It's an example of frequently used language abuse, which has become normalized by repetition, but is easily shown to be inaccurate.

Which state will be next to go under?

Rearranging the furniture in a burning house will not put out the fire.

Republicans let tax rates drop by 25% in 2015. Republican governor Bruce Rauner let this happen.... then they dropped the income tax rate on corporations....

Tell me how cutting taxes and gutting services is great for the economy again?.

Okay. I'll begin with eliminating some taxes and go beyond what is "great for the economy".

I'll hold off on the morality issues of confiscatory taxes for now.

Property tax is a disincentive to property improvement. If they didn't exist, people could actually be secure in their homes and know that any home improvements which they do, would not result in more money being stolen from them. Also, home improvements would increase purchases of materials and provide income to people who offer real services on a consensual basis between service provider and consumer.

Obviously government does not give their "customers" any options, which is why the term "service" is incorrect.
Which is why I reject your premise that government provides "services" . A service, in reality only exists where the customer is not a captive and has the ability to select from a number of real service providers or to abstain entirely if that is their choice.

I will be happy to see the Illinois plantation decay further. It's about fucking time.

Well reality proves your platitudes incorrect.

If you look at the places in the world with the highest education, lowest crime rates, lowest infant mortality rates, longest lifespans, highest quality of life metrics and highest happiness index.... these are all places where the government provides exceptional services in important industries like schooling, healthcare, infrastructure maintenance..... all paid for by the highest corporate and personal income tax rates anywhere on earth....

I undesrtand what you are saying and I also understand that you are incorrect.

Thank you for your polite, but inaccurate response.

False dichotomy driven analysis on your part.

You are comparing what presently exists with other things which presently exist and failing to consider that which is presently disallowed from existing by government and what the results of that could be.

Crime is present whenever confiscatory taxation is present
.

That is easy to demonstrate, since you or I would be behaving wrong, or "criminal" , if we attempted to force others monetary choices, it can't become "not wrong" if somebody claiming to be an official does the same thing. That would require a person to believe in two opposing things at once, that an action which is wrong can somehow become right if a "special person" does it. Can you refute that without contradicting yourself?

Also, it's possible that you have confused "education" with intelligence. Common mistake.

Akin to rape and slavery, obviously.
totally not language abuse though.

just like when a racist store owner kicks a black person out of his store, we should call that "remaining on your own property and being peaceful and using defensive force".

the only approved way to use language is to make pleasant sounding euphemisms for all of rob roy's hateful racial anger.

like when you call a black man ordering lunch "offensive force"?

Would you be okay with forcing a black man to use his body and property against his will to serve a white man he would prefer not to ?

I wouldn't be okay with that.

Translation: I'll hold off on spouting the same nonsensical bullshit that I've been logically spanked on many times and by many people.
