I just germinated 8 White Widow auto flowering plant and I just placed him in 3 gallon pots their final place I've been told to start them out in the only bucket they're going to be in considering they're going to be done in 8 weeks give or take. I'm really not sure what I'm doing with these I'm really not sure what I'm doing with photos either but I got 6 of them going all so I must be gotten for punishment because I started out with 4 then it went to 6 and now I've got 14 I must be nuts. Has anybody here have any experience with White Widow Autos or any auto is for that matter and if so I mixed soils this time, this time I mixed Fox Farm ocean Forest Fox Farm Happy Frog and and the last part I can't remember the name right now but it's meant for seedlings what I did is a mixed 45 percent of the seedling mix mostly vermiculite with the Happy Frog another 45% and then I put 10% of the ocean forest in it not sure how it will work does anybody know if this is a good idea or a bad idea guess it really don't matter because the seeds in the dirt

Im doing a white widow now but its not an auto. ive taken cuttings already and shes in flower. Im also not sure what your asking? its a good idea to have your final pot as the beginning medium for the auto because you will want as little shock to the plant as possible(ie transplants) because autos will grow for a predetermined (by the auto strain) time. Ive never lined my bottoms with stones but there should be no harm as long as good drainage is acheived, plus, like you said, its in the soil already so too late to change anyway. Just make sure to take your time and feed slow working your way up with nute amounts through their life cycle as to not cause any negative impacts and allow a nice flow of growth and easy transition into flower, i cannot stress that enough for auto flowering strains, any setbacks results in yield loss due to their short life span.

good vibes at ya

To very much, my question to be more specific is ffof is a fairly hot mix. I did put my white cookie seedlings in it in solo cups with 4 cuts along bottom rim and 2 holes underneath. They seem fine though 3 out of 6 are a little behind and they look like we'll like a plant with downs (no disrespect ment to people that have this). The first 2 sets of leaf are weird looking and they seem to be damaged somehow at first. But they seem to have started to snap out of it. These pics were taken 4 days ago, though they are all bigger now you can get the idea.
Back to the question, I have used ffhf before (fox farm happy frog) i worked well for me cause I'm a noob. My first grow was only a few months ago and I lost it to PM. Any to stay on track, last time I used clones. This time they are all from seed, so since as you said thier life span is half that of photo's, i mixed up 10 cups ffhf with Fox Farms seedling medium also 10 cups then not sure why but I added 4 cups of ffof. My thought process as stoned as i was when I did it was that my photos will be transplanted from solo's to 2 gallon pots then finally to 7 gallon pots this time anyway is the plan. But im sure I don't need to tell you that photos are quite a bit more forgiving in veg to a point. I just wasn't sure how well autos would do with even 1 transplant. So I put it all in one with the top unmixed seedling medium and the rest is thoroughly mixed with a layer of recycled grow stones to help with drainage and to help dry out the medium since seedling won't use much water the first few weeks anyway. It contains a good amount of vermiculite and neither is what would be considered hot, if anything I would call them nuteless.LOL. sorry felt a bit punny this early. Thus why I added 4 cups of ocean forest (ffof). This is what I wasnt sure was a good idea, I know preference and style are the main reasons people choose a medium, but as I said I'm a noob this is my second grow. I had my head so far up my ass thinking I knew how to just from reading. I may as well beat off left handed, it sure didnt get good results and it never had the chance to finish. I guess I am just curious on whether or not i just wasted time energy and money is all.

And round 2 has begun lol
Ffof is a hot mix for seedlings and I've seen a lot of people mix it with that happy frog for this reason so you should be fine :)

I would say you did the right thing starting the autos in there final container but would look to more a 10week life span on them not 8 ..

I don't have loads of experience and I've never done a 14 plant grow but Im currently on the auto journey with a little success so if ever need to know anything then I'll try my best to help :)

Good luck

Well I'm kinda baffled at the moment. I put them in my ffof-ffhf- ff light warrior seedling mix combo. I put very little ffof but the rest was done equal parts. The put a 2" layer of straight fflwsm on top and that's where they were put. That was yesterday. I know it can take two or three days to sprout through the soil but these all had 3/4" taps after 36hrs. All 8, i was surprised they didn't pop out in the first 24 to be honest. But only time will tell right. By all i saw by tomorrow they should be all pushing up. I hope

I would allow a week for them to show before you decide to investigate lol I've had 3 day pop ups and 8 day pop ups , I go straight to soil though so don't know if that slows it down at all :)

they all popped 5 came up yesterday and the other three this morning. Out of the 18 I germinated 6 photos and 8 autos made it. I'll keep ya posted guys. In fact I FIMed the two oldest photos yesterday. They had started their 4th tier so I took it. The other 4 are about 4 days behind the first two. If everything goes good this time I should be harvesting the autos when I flip the photos.

I do have a question though, the first two photos came up on 1/18 the other 4 came up on the 23rd. The first two like i said were starting their 4th set before I FIMed them. So they are 17 days old should i wait till at least 21 days before it transplant out of solo's into the next stage?

As well as waiting till day 21 for the others that are 14 days? I just don't know if they got root bound of they would straighten out once they had room.
