Alright so about 5 weeks ago I germinated 12 seeds... Of those twelve I currently have 11 still living. I don't really remember the fate of the twelth one, but im pretty sure it died, or was jus weak and sickly...

I started them all out in rockwool and when i felt the roots had grown enough, i decided to move the seedlings to 32 oz stirofoam cups with drainage holes cut out of the bottom. I stand here saying I was nieve and had no idea how fast cannabis really grows... because two to three days later there were roots sticking out of the bottom of the cups....

I had these cups sitting uder an ECOPlus 150W CFL with Brightwing reflective light fixture.

These are the earliest pics i have of my plants....

Ok... So in the two pictures above you can see that some plants are doing better than others... These are all bag seed from some pretty decent buds... I had received 15 seeds of "The Purps" from BCBudDepot... a week or so before i germinated the bag seeds, but i was two nervous to grow them thinking that I would mess something up on my first grow and waste the seeds...

But... I have been through a few trials and tribulations with my 11 plants and they are all currently doing great.. give or take a couple spotted leaves here, a few slower growers there...

When my largest three plants began to grow their fith or sixth node, I tried to use the FIM method of topping on them... I wasnt sure exactly how effective I was in my cuttings of the growth node, but I have a pic of what was then my fastest growing plant... topped with the FIM method....

If you look at the top two leaves you will notice there is about ten percent of the growth node left intact... This is the plant that I cut the most off...

OK, So... I moved my plants to pots after not watering them for a week... I heard somewhere that before transplanting you are supposed to let the roots dry out so that the transplant does not send them into shock... but anyway I believe the pots I have them in now are about 2-3 gallons, which should give them enough room to grow well through thte 60 days of flowering I'm planning on giving them... I don't really know the kind of bud, but I can tell that it is probably 100% indica from the buds I have seen and the look of the leaves. So maybe it wont take the long to flower, but eventually we'll see....

Ok so upon putting in my new light hanger from VIAgrow one of the screws came out, and what seemed to be some drywall fell onto my plants... I have a 6 inch clip on two speed fan blowing onto my plants at all times so after installation of the light hanger, I carefully wiped the remaining drywall off the leaves, but it seems as though there was some damage done to a couple of the plants that can still be seen to this day...

This was around day 30... I started feeding them Peter's "Jack's Classic" All Purpose 20-20-20 at 1/4 teaspoon per 4 gallons of water, and began watering them every other day. Here are some pics I took about four or five days ago...

The first pic shows the 8 largest plants I have in pots. The reason there are only 8 of them in the pots is becasue the closet I am planning on flowering in is only 4x2 which is only enough room for 8 plants.

The second picture shows some of the damage that happened from the drywall which can also be seen in the third pic in the left most leaf.

The third Pic is also a pic of the plant that I tried the FIM method on. It easy to see but I am proud to say the the plant is growing in three tops.....:weed:!!!!

IF ANYONE HAS ANY COMMENTS THEY WOULD LIKE TO AD, OR SUGGESTIONS THEY HAVE FOR ME... FEEL FRE TO POST IN MY GROW JOURNAL.. (FORGOT TO ADD THAT... I JUS READ THE "RULES")

So my 400W HPS ballast, reflector and bulb came and I immediatley moved my 8 plants into my 4x2 growspace. Some of my biggest problems with this room will be ventilation... Because in all essence it is a closet... So for the last couple of days i have left the door open and had a fan blowing hot air out of the door.

Another problem is the heat that the HPS bulb creates... in my vegging stage the plants were receiving 24/0 nd the temperature never moved above 87 degrees and thery were usually around 80. Yet in the closet the temps easily reach 88-90 degrees...

I curently have the plants about 18 inches from the bulb ... and in about twenty minutes i am going to go and put up mylar reflective paper on the walls about four feet above the pots..

If anyone has any suggestions or comments that may help me out it will be gr8ly appreciated..

This is my first grow op... so how does it seem like i am doing...

And for the flowering stage I will use Jack's Classic 10-30-20 formula.. I'm planning on inducing flowering on monday... here is a pic of my flowering room..

It's the big day! I started my flowering off by giving my plants a complete 24 hours of darkness... I read somewhere that it helps in the transistion period between vegging and flowering, but as of day this is the first full day of 12/12. I have 11 plants all around 8 inches tall... They would be a little taller but I transplanted them about three times and each time I added a layer of dirt to the top of the plants.

For the past two days I have been giving them plain water to rinse out any veggie fertilizer salts that may be left over, b4 I begin to give them Jack's Classic blossom booster 10 - 30 - 20

The stems are larger than i have ever seen them and seem to be very sturdy. The one plant that I used the FIM method on is currently growing in its third and final top....

Pics coming tomoro...

I jus wanna thank you, Kool and IloveUmaryjane, for commenting on my grow journal. Im glad to know that i am not on this site alone... (thas the way it has been seeming the last couple of days...) I only made a grow journal in hopes that i would get some kind of feedback on how i am doing...

Maybe it is because my plants dont look too sickly or like I have been doing something wrong. And thas why no one comments, they only read my journal.... But its great knowing that I shouldnt be dissappointed with my bagseeds.

KEEP YA FINGERS CROSSED FOR ME! Im hoping for females!!!!

BTW... All this (what seems like) successful growing, has inspired me to go ahead and germinate my Mendo Purp seeds from BCBudDepot, I am going to let them veg the whole time my bagseed is flowering, which should make for some pretty large plants...

My next venture will be to find a indica sativa hybrid that has feminized seeds so that I wont have to worry about my crop being cut in half by plants turning male.... IF ANYONE HAS ANY INPUT to what strain they think will be best for this situation it would be gr8ly appreciated.
:peace:

So yesterday I gave my plants ther second and final day of plain water... (and I gave them plenty of it) In hopes that I would rinse out all of the veggie fertilizer and today I will begin to give them Jack's Classic Blossom Booster 10-30-20 @ 25% the suggested dosage per ViRedd's instruction on fert use.

I also pruned the bottom leaves of all but two of my plants yesterday becasue the top fan leaves were so large that the first leaves were beginning to die off because of a lack of light... And i also heard that by cutting the botttom leaves it helps with air circulation through the plan canopy.

I currently havc my plants flowering in a closet... The air ventialation is poor during the night because I must close the door to ensure a full 12 hours of darkness, and usually when i open it up in the mornings the temp is low.. and the humidity is high .. VERY HIGH... this may because of the cold winter nights... But I currently do not have any answer for this problem...

I have since the last pictures added mylar reflective paper to the walls to increase the reflectivity and lumens in the 4x2 room. I am also building a 4x2x2 veggie room now... I have some Mendo purp seeds that should all pop up out of the rock wool by next week... I will start that grow in another thread next week probably.

Here are my most recent pics of my "ladies" (hopefully.. fingers crossed)

I havent posted in a few days because there hasn't been any big news to tell. I have begun feeding the plants the 10-30-20 by Jack's Classic, and they seem to love it. They are growing pretty damn fast if you ask me.

But this is just and update...

The first pic is the plant that I used the FIM technique on... IT WORKED... I am now an advocate for this method :bigjoint:

The second is of all my babies ... :D

Ok.. So i havent posted in two weeks, but alot has changed in my grow room... I found out that 5 of the 11 plants I had were males:spew:!!!!
So I cut there freakin balls off.... :hump:

On to the better news... I am currently at day 22 of my flowering phase and my ladies are looking lovely. I have them in 10 inch by 10 inch pots... and I am thinking that I may need to transplant them soon because the growth is rapid. The best news I have is that the plant that I have been rooting for the most... The one that I successfully "FIM"ed.. IS A GIRL...

The Jack's Classic Blossom Booster 10-30-20 seems to be working wonderfully and I have jus recently started giving them the ferts at 50% of the suggested amount. A 100% jump from the original 25% I started the flowering phase with.

Here are some of my pictures of my Ladies... The first two are of the plant that seems to be producing the most bud sites... The last one is a top pic of the FIM'd ladie... (characterized by her four main tops...) bongsmilie

Dude, yr plants are looking nice. Ask someone else, but if it were me at day 22 of flowering, I dont think I'd transplant, I'd ride it out. Most upward growth should be slowing down about now.
