im hoping its isn't the sludge they have gone on to full strength nutrient in the last 4 days the res temps are a constant 68 f and im using hydro peroxide just starting this week.
the EC was 2.3 which is now 2.0 and im diluting it further to get it to about 1.5...is it possible i have burnt the roots and if so with a EC reduction will they bounce back or is it looking like the sludge?
its in every res and they are all run independent from each other so its a bit strange they have all gone this way uni-formally over the last few days!!!
please check out these pics and any input more than welcome...

It looks like root rot to me? Are you running HydroGuard? I just realized you said you were running Hydrogen Peroxide not compatible with HydroGuard. I run Hydroguard and reservoir temps got up to 86°F this summer with no root problems.

Looks a bit suspicious.. how much junk (dead roots) is floating around your rez...
Do the roots feel/look slimy? When did you last flush? Could be mild root rot..
The extra oxygen molecule in h2o2 adds nutrients for root rot and algae.... you need a chlorine based rez guard..

clean res not slimy but discoloured and been using h2o2 this week only 3 weeks in so have not flushed...think its mild root rot as have sorted some light leakage

It wouldn't hurt to flush and clean your system just to make sure.. It's not bad now but could get worse..
Roots do change color as they age but usually not that fast.. I think you found it in time... good luck!

Get your ec to 1.0 you are feeding way to strong atm, when I done dwc I never ever got above 1.1 with a background ec 0.3.

2.3 is way to high. Roots use osmosis to take in water and nutes. if the solution is too salty for the plant(high EC) it actually dehydrates the plant cause the roots to soft causing rot. Also h2o will not help if it is root rot. h2o for increasing dissolved oxygen and nothing else.

there on a flush for 3 days and going in at around 0.6-0.8 ec when i do the res later this week...

Looks like they're stained from the highly concentrated nutes you're using. I haven't gone above 700ppm/1.0ec and I'm in an aggressive veg state. How many airstones and what air pump/pumps are you running?

split pump does 2 res f3om my local hydro store the new roots are white and I'm flushing at a background ec of 0.3 for 3 days then going to start off on an ec of 0.7...they are slowly bouncing back an ec of 2.3 just fried them and the roots...not cool!!!
