I have done it and found the plants from the resulting seeds are very similar to the parent.Man it seems like you are asking people here to do your research for you. What is the benefit to anyone that takes the time to answers your questions? You've added on some questions since the original posting. You are confused in thinking that your plant has it's genes all figured out and there will be no genetic surprises if you self pollinate.
I have no reason to believe otherwise.
Do you have experience with this or are you just guessing?
Ruderalis is a recessive trait. If you cross it with a regular photoperiod plant you will get about 25% ruderalis and 75% photoperiod.Ruderalis genes seem to have a dominating effect in any gene pool
so you should always get auto flower from any seeds from this plant. Other than that the seeds will produce a mix of offspring absolutley inline with the genetic makeup of the parents. Shove the 'pros and cons' up your ass and start reading.
Try decaf.
