Incresing Marijuana Yield

If a plant is well into flowering and suddenly gets less than 12 hours per day of darkness for an extended period, this will cause stress, possibly leading it to turn hermaphrodite.
ive never tried this but have seen people go to 14 hours of light the last 2 weeks for a bigger yield and didnt see any hermies.
im not sure if its worth the risk for a few more grams.

my buddy was talking about something from high times about these guys that gave there plants 2 days of full light then 2 days of darkness before they cut there plant because it shocked them into growing more??

any ideas?

i really dont think it would make much of a difference in just a couple days. i pretty much just keep to the 12/12 and the last couple weeks lower the humidity to around 40% and seems to help.

[*]Using a sunlamp on the plants when they start to delvlop flowering stocks.

I have a GE sunlamp that I'd like to use to try and test this theory (see pic)View attachment 935376. Its a 275W (mercury halide?), with a built in 10 minute, wind-down timer that I'd circumvent. I'm thinking of putting it on a plug-in timer for about 1 hour a day in the middle of the light cycle. What do y'all think ?
