Indoor growing...had a few questions about number of plants and lights...

currently im flowering 6 plants @ a time under a 600w digital hps system...w/ a whole gang of 23w cfls for side lighting (like 10-12 of em.) the plants are in 5 gallon pots..

my questions are:

1) would there be a real benefit to using 2 gallon pots and planting 10 or so @ time? because 2 gallon pots are smaller therefore more plants i figure can fit under the light im assuming?

2) would this improve or hurt my harvests?

i ask because i'd like to do somethings to get the most out of my harvests. i've been looking into topping and other techniques but the other reason i thought of this is because when i buy some seeds i get 10 in a pack...so i use 6 and have 4 for next time...but not enough...so i gotta get more and use up the last of the older ones.

i'd much rather get 10 seeds and pop them all in @ once.

thoughts/opinions?

I would stay with 5 gal and 6 plants. I had similar problem and adding more plants just added to problems. Topping them will make them spread out and give you nicer yields ( in my opinion ),but don't downsize to 2 gal. Good luck :peace:
