Indoor Issue with pots

I have always grown outdoors and in my opinion outdoor weed is better. I have tried growing in pots indoor but the soil always seems to hold to much water and the pots dont seem to want to drain even if i use good pots. What is a good type of pot to use and what is the best soil to use for indoor so my soil doesnt turn to mud and kill off the roots.

Your pots in not the problem, my man
Just as long as you have drainage holes on the bottom of them.
But you need to add something to make your soil more 'airy' like perlite or coco coir, just something to make it less muddy to help your roots breathe
But best pots, i would say, are cloth pots called 'smart pots'
And best soil for beginners are either Pro Mix HP will some added perlite or foxfarm
