Infused Oil Bug Spray

I'm making some infused oil for some bug spray I'm making to take care of a little bug issue I have. Right now I have some vegetable oil being infused (seeping) with garlic, mint, cloves, cinnamon and different kinds of chili. Does anyone else know of any other household item I can throw in there that works on bug I might have forgot?

I think rosemary oil permanently coats their carapace, causing suffocation. Works on eggs too.

Could you use neem oil to seep your herbs in? That'd be some uber-potent genocidal war bug-spray!

Lol Sometimes I just nuke the bastards too...
I think you could use any oil. I would be using neem right now ifI had it. I took the oil this morning, put it in a sprayer with a few drops of dish soap and rubbing alcohol and went town on my rose bushes and herb garden (to test it first). You should have seen the little fuckers scramble! bwaaahahah!
And you can put it in a mason jar for a few weeks and it will just keep getting stronger and stronger.

Sounds like a lot of different smells and oils...ouch.
Good luck @ wiping them out.
Ohhh yeah they hate it.
Yesterday morning I saw a gnat or some kind of bug fly around the plants, land a few times, and then fly to the window and out the room. So I guess it didn't like the taste or something. Shit works like a charm!

What is the effect of basil on cannabis-munching insects, does anyone know?

You know when you're having lunch outside in the summer and wasps decide to join in.. well, if you stand a basil plant near you then they disappear, pronto. Basil doesn't seem susceptible to white (or black) fly either, it seems. Just some types of caterpillar.

Basil is vulnerable to spider mites and quite a few other nasty cannabis pests. It does smell great when you brush up against a full bush in summer though. :)

OOH! Basil works too! I forgot! Just throw it in there too when ever you make your infused oil.
Neem oil, olive oil or vegetable oil
Mint leaves
Whole raw garlic
Rosemary
Any kind of chili you have (not the kind with beans and hamburger in it....chili peppers...)
Raw clove
Cinnamon
Cayenne pepper

Strain through a coffee filter and dilute with water in a sprayer. Adding rubbing alcohol helps the oil emulsify in the water and it's also another bug killer. It works by drying out their little shells and which kills them (rubbing alcohol). Add a few drop of dish soap for another bug killer (works the same as rubbing alcohol).
Shake well and use in a ventilated area. Use every few days until the bugs are gone or under control. Very powerful!
I add a bit of leaf hardener and fertilizer in mine too for the added effect of feeding the plant also. I use House and Garden Magic Green to get vibrant healthy leaves.

I do the same. I add a bit of some kind of grow formula and some Dyna-Gro ProTekt (or any easily absorbed silica supplement) to pH buffer the solution. The silica supplement really goes a long way towards recovery and prevention. :)

I like Dyna-Gro's ProTekt, it's really cheap and very good quality. I haven't checked out what else is on the market in a while though.
