I just switched my lights to 12/12 this morning and i have the inline fan connected to the timer. Now that I've been thinking, the fan should be on 24/7 so the smell doesn't get out and gets sucked through the filter instead (when its starts to bud) . Im growing inside a tent, the smell will still get out if i don't have the fan on, correct?

Yes correct the smell will build up if the fans are off and can disperse around the non growing areas, you could have it on a timer to turn on periodically but why take the chance. You also want it on so airflow is maximised and bud rot is less likely.

Run your exhaust fan 24/7 just for the simply fact you need proper air exchange.
